The Cameroon Renaissance Movement. MRC. of Maurice Kamto had on November 25 stated that it will not be part of the polls.
MRC’s identity and relation with BAS has remained a topic for political debates and interpretations. BAS was formed in the wake of the 2018 post-presidential elections period. It showed its affinity to the MRC and Kamto. Members of the BAS have on several occasions engaged the security of President Paul Biya while on sojourn across Europe.
Such actions have usually generated condemnation from within the state. The warning on Cabral Libii and Joshua Osih is new on opposition politicians.
