The former glory is opposed to the decision of the FECAFOOT to dissolve the Professional Football League of Cameroon. Albert Roger Milla opposes the recent decision by the Executive Committee of FECAFOOT to suspend the Cameroon Professional Football League (LFPC).
Invited yesterday, September 8, 2019, on the program Olympia Sports broadcast on the Amplitude FM radio, the former striker of the Cameroon team said that “The FECAFOOT is preparing a coup d’etat to the President of the Republic, through the soccer”. According to him, the decision of the body that manages football in Cameroon aims to destabilize our country.
Milla does not understand, for example, the reproach made to General Pierre Semengue, president of the LFPC, of financial mismanagement of the subsidies allocated to the League. “We can not say that of a man who managed the army for 50 years,” stormed the best African player in the 20th century, former player of the TKC Yaoundé, under the orders of P. Semengue.
Meeting on September 3rd, the members of the FECAFOOT Executive Committee suspended the activities of the LFPC created in 2011, and led since that date by Pierre Semengue.
Instead, they set up a Technical Transition Committee to be led by Aboubakar Alim Konate, First Vice President of FECAFOOT.
The new body, which has a two-year mandate, will manage day-to-day affairs, including the organization of the next Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 championships. It also aims to standardize the management of the LFPC.
It should be noted that Pierre Semengue has indicated that he will not give up his place and has engaged in a showdown. However, the FECAFOOT announces for this week, the installation of the members of the transitional management body.
