Boko Haram attack leaves six dead in Far North region

At leasts six persons were killed on the night of Thursday breaking Friday in the locality of Djalingo in the Far North Region of Cameroon following an attack that has been attributed to the islamist sect Boko Haram.

The assailants, who were heavily armed and probably from neighboring Nigeria, arrived on motorcycles and a vehicles before starting the search of houses, eliminating all on their path and slaughtering six civilians.

Alerted, members of the vigilante committee  engaged in a fight with them leading to the death of five of the terrorists while one was captures.

This is one of the rare Boko Haram attacks in the region as the sects influence winds down due to the presence of the Multinational Joint Force Task.
