Cameroon: At least two soldiers have been killed in Bamenda

The soldiers were killed around Alachu in Mankon on Wednesday May 15 by the fighters who immediately took off to their hideouts.

However, this forced a crackdown from other soldiers who immediately embarked on a crackdown in the neighbourhood to track the perpetrators of the acts.

However, in the course of their mission, several houses and properties were torched forcing residents to flee their homes for safety.

Locals hav accused the soldiers of torching the houses while the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Defence Joseph Beti Assomo in a communiqué on Thursday said investigations have been opened shed light on the incident.
Any soldier found guilty to destroying property in the locality will face the law, Joseph Beti Assomo said.
