Cameroon: Women in Bamenda challenge gov’t to end Anglophone crisis

A group of women has challenged the government of Cameroon to seeking lasting solutions to the crisis rocking the North West and South West regions for peace to return.

The women made their voices heard today n Bamenda as the Prime Minister, Head of Government embarks on a peace-seeking visit to the two troubled regions.

Under the South West and North West Women’s Task Force, SNWOT, the women carried placards with various messages calling for peace in the two regions as they welcomed the Prime Minister to Bamenda on Thursday.

They women are going to stage a similar move next when we the Prime Minister visits Buea as they continue to press for peace and hold the powers that be to seek a lasting solution to the crisis.

The Prime Minister is expected to meet with various stakeholders in the region inclusing the elite, traditional rulers, local administrators, civil society leaders as well as journalists.
