Every Southern Cameroonian has not been indifferent to the quest for self-determination that has recently kept Biya’s government on it’s heels. From initial denial through abductions of Anglophones and Internet blackouts to cover the attrocities perpetrated against Southern Cameroonians, La Republique du Cameroun’s hierarchy has done everything to send former British Cameroonians away, even as they pretend to preach otherwise.
Supreme Court Justices and Members of Parliament have been inflicted with even more demeaning treatment that no practicing democracy would attempt. Not only are judges targets for abduction by the state forces, also members of parliament have been blacklisted for representing the views of their people. As a principal victim to these evil plans, Honorable Joseph Wirba has been unrepentant in his fight to protect the rights of his people, who have long suffered marginalization from government policies. His courageous speech in parliament earned him disdain in the eyes of his oppressors, who are resolved to have their pound of flesh. Honourable Wirba, now referred to as “Wirbaforce” went on self exile, but has not relented his efforts to help his people freedom. In a most recent publication ogf which alafnet.com has attached a copy below, he calls on members of Parliament from the National Assembly to stage a walk out. This, according to him, is a soothing remedy to the Southern Cameroons problem. As representatives, he suggests that parliamentarians from the North West and South West Regions (Bui, Boyo, Donga Mantung, Fako, Ngokitunjia, Ndian, Mezam, Momo, Meme, Mentchum, Manyu, Lebialem, Kupe Manenguba )to walk out of Cameroun National Assembly Now, calling on the Members of Parliament to stand with the people of West Cameroon. This is what Hon. Wirba wrote.
